Fenty Cream bronzer
It's on the pricey side (currently on offer at Boots with 15% off) however for a cream bronzer it goes on like a dream and blends into the skin beautifully for a natural fresh faced look that really lasts. Available in 7 sheer buildable shades (Hannah has the Butta Biscuit shade) you only need to use a small amount so it’ll last you ages, this is a definite 'repurchase' for us.
Pachinko by Min Jin LeeA marvellous book which follows four generations of a Korean family in Japan from 1910 to 1989 amidst Japanese colonization. It begins with a couple who have a child, their beloved daughter Sunja. When Sunja is enamored by a local yakuza, Hanku, she soon falls pregnant and then learns that Hanku is already married with his own children. Due to the highly placed value of female virginity in Korea, the family faces ruin from Sunja's pregnancy. But then a Christian minister offers a chance of salvation for the family: a new life in Japan as his wife.
It was a powerfully heart breaking, educational and inspiring book.
Gone Fishing Mortimer & Whitehouse
All hail the new season. We both just love this BBC2 programme, its perfect slow mellow Sunday evening viewing. So simple, two men in their early 60s, both recuperating from major heart conditions, putting the world to rights, casting lines and sometimes catching a fish if they are lucky. Not wanting to wish summer away but we're looking forward to cosy fires and comfort food whilst watching this wonderful series. And Away!
The Ordinary Maxtrixyl
The Ordinary are one of our go to brands for affordable skin care and this has been hailed as 'a face lift in a bottle' … say no more.
We're fast heading into one of our favourite times of the year, knit wear season. We’ve an ever increasing selection of cosy cardigans and jumpers for you to wrap up in over the coming months. You can find them all on our shop section and we'll definitely be adding more so keep a look out.Jane & Hannah x
